Amélie is a 2001 French film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and starring Audrey Tautou. Its original French title is Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain ("The Fabulous Life of Amélie Poulain"; poulain is French for foal). Written by Jeunet with Guillaume Laurant, the film is a whimsical and somewhat idealised depiction of contemporary Parisian life, set in Montmartre. It tells the story of a painfully shy waitress who decides to change the lives of those around her for the better, while struggling with her own isolation.

"Amelie" is a stunning film that is rich with imagination. It's impressed me about its special style. Amelie is a young waitress living in Paris. She never received much physical attention from her parents. Because her parents thought she had a heart defect. She was homeschooled and never had friends. She turned inward and developed a vivid imagination that she made part of her reality. When she is an adult, she still see's the world as a child might. And yet Amelie does not know how to reach out and relate to others, she feels more like an observer.

At the end, I felt true love between Amelie and Nino : D
it's sweet and honest.
